Job Overview

We are hiring a seasoned Sr. Chemist with expertise in ferrous alloy analysis, spectrometry and metallurgical lab operations. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in steel foundries, chemical testing and quality assurance.

️Key Responsibilities

• Conduct chemical and spectrometric analysis of:

   

  • Ferro Manganese Mn content, phosphorus, sulfur
  • Silico Manganese Si/Mn ratios for ladle additions
  • Ferro Silicon Silicon levels for deoxidation
  • Manganese Ore Wet/instrumental analysis per IS 1473:2004
• Supervise lab operations:

   

  • Sample preparation, wet chemistry, spectrometer calibration
  • UTM, hardness testing, metallography
• Monitor melting/casting parameters for metallurgical integrity

   

• Test sand, flux, resin per foundry standards

   

• Maintain documentation for ISO, PED, and customer audits

   

• Collaborate with production teams for process control and troubleshooting

   

• Ensure safety and environmental compliance

   

Qualifications

• Degree: B.E./M.Sc./B.Sc. in Metallurgy, Industrial Chemistry or related field
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Spectrometers (OES, XRF)
  • Mechanical testing tools (UTM, hardness testers)
  • Microscopy and metallography
• Strong analytical mindset and documentation skills
